RepRap at Allegheny is a small group of people building a RepRap 3D printer for Allegheny College. We ordered a kit with parts and plans, and invite you to help us put it together and test it! The RepRap is really a low-end 3D printer, and our goal with this project is to generate enough student and interdepartmental interest in 3D Printing to convince the college to eventually purchase a higher-end machine. The advantages of the RepRap are that it is relatively inexpensive and that it is (almost) self-replicating. It’s a great place to start.
We encourage any student or faculty (or anyone!) to contact us if you are interested in this project! We will hold weekly meetings/building sessions/testing sessions soon, please check back for times!
